Advanced Placement

At NCAS High School, students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams for students with a passion for academic rigor to be prepared for the challenges of the 21st Century. Advanced Placement classes are available in all core curriculum areas of English, Science, Social Studies and the Arts.

Students taking Advanced Placement are choosing to take college-level classes with national college standards.

The College Board gives Advanced Placement exams in the first two weeks in May. Students participating in Advanced Placement classes are required to take the exams; a score of 3 or better will give them the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school and students can test out of the semester’s worth of college classes by taking these exams. In the present economy, this is a saving to the parents and students entering college and universities.
